I have tried in many ways to explain the differences between mortgage bank, mortgage brokers and what yield spread premium is. Explaining why my mortgage rates are usually lower than the national banks is not always easy. Of course I have tried the argument that in Charlotte, there is no Carolina Mortgage Connection Stadium. So if you think about it that way, I am not working with the same overhead as some of the larger banks.
